TJ Maxx Distribution Center: Bringing Jobs to San Antonio’s Southside

On behalf of TJ Maxx, one of the United States’ largest retailers, we supported the site selection and acquisition process for a 1,200,000 square foot distribution center. We also led the local team that secured over $23 million in economic incentives and investment in public infrastructure for the development. The center would be located in San Antonio’s Southside, a vibrant, artsy area of the city that includes multiple lower-income communities.

The distribution center opened in 2019, providing stable employment for over 1,000 Southside residents nearby. The total cost was approximately $150,000,000.
